Bike riding is the fastest growing and most dynamic activity in Australia. Bicycle NSW is the peak advocacy body for recreational and commuter riders in NSW and exists to create a better environment for all bicycle riders.

Bicycle NSW is seeking Bicycle NSW is seeking an outstanding, innovative leader to drive behavioural change and community advocacy, to lead our efforts to solve congestion in our major cities and towns while promoting cycling as a healthy, practical, alternative mode of transport and recreation in NSW.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will represent both the interests of all Bicycle Riders and specifically Bicycle NSW members to transport and cycling-related government, business and community groups and will be accountable for the organisation’s effective strategic and sound financial management.

The CEO will leverage strong leadership, influencing and advocacy skills, brokering and fostering co-operative relationships across a range of networks including:

• All levels of Government
• Industry, community, politics and the public sector
• The community not-for-profit sector including other transport and cycling networks
• The media.

An energetic senior executive will capitalise on the moment, mainstreaming bike riding through innovative programs & promotion, and in the process secure Bicycle NSW as a highly effective member organisation. Strong business acumen will be essential to drive commercial partnerships and build financial strength.

A competitive remuneration package in keeping with the nature of the role will be negotiated.
