We’re looking for a professional Maintenance Officer Part Time– South East (Frankston region) with relevant experience who wants to join our team of 1500 employees and 1000 volunteers to make a difference on a Part Time basis, working 30 hours a week based in Frankston.

THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to provide hands-on timely general maintenance and repairs at the David Scott School, and as required, other BSL sites within the region, as well as liaising with external contractors where necessary to undertake certain works. General maintenance of the facility includes the building, gardens, and grounds. Key to this role is understanding the scope of works and the impacts works may present to students, staff, and visitors at site.  Safety is paramount, as is ensuring the building retains outstanding presentation.

• Utilising Facilities Software for lodging and managing works. 
• Co-ordinating, inducting and overseeing contractors to site for repairs and maintenance. 
• Conducting general maintenance of plant, buildings, grounds and equipment as instructed, or as scheduled. 

Salary will be in the range of $61,985.52 – $67,631.28 pro rata per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

• Demonstrated experienced as an all-round handy person with solid skills in repairs and maintenance jobs. 
• Demonstrate pride in the work being undertaken.  
• Knowledge of safety related to the transportation of tools, materials, and work pieces in and around work areas.
• This role will require a full driver's license and to have your own ‘tool of the trade’ vehicle to transport lawn mowers and other general tools and equipment between sites, a vehicle allowance will be provided.
• Proof of eligibility to work in Australia is required.
