With a new strategy and a refreshed direction we are embarking on a new and exciting phase in the history of Bedford College.
We are establishing stronger governance and company secretarial practices, and we are seeking a volunteer Company Secretary to assist us to meet these objectives in the context of our corporate governance and company secretarial obligations.
Your commitment will include attending 10 Board Meetings per year, taking minutes, managing action items, and assisting the Board to draft, establish and review a range of good governance practice materials. You will need an understanding of managing Board meetings through an electronic Board portal. It is expected you will need to commit up to 2 days per calendar month.
You will be an experienced company secretary and/or governance professional with a passion for purpose-driven education and the ability to commit both time and ‘heart’ to the future of Bedford College.
You will have advanced communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to support a Board or Management Committee. You will have demonstrated knowledge of company secretarial requirements and relevant statutory processes. As a committed Christian, you will be a member of, and play an active role in, your local Church.
