The Housing Manager, Pathways is responsible for providing access and demand services for applicants seeking social housing assistance. This includes assessment, processing and offering appropriate housing products. This is done whilst providing exceptional client service specific to the needs of low-income households and tenants and those in crisis.

The priority for all Housing Managers is tenant satisfaction and sustainment, and upholding our values in every step and action.

Accountabilities

  • Assist the Pathways team meet service delivery standards by adhering to the service levels outlined in the Customer Service Charter including the timely processing and assessing of applications and facilitating access to temporary and priority accommodation when required.
  • Continually improve customer satisfaction levels by providing advice, information and referrals that assists clients access Bridge Housing and other support services.
  • Assist the Pathways team meet its financial goals by keeping abreast of current voids and allocating properties to clients within agreed targets and allocation rules.
  • Support the Pathways team meet its corporate governance obligations by ensuring the timely and accurate recording of all relevant applicant information in the IT system(s) and maintaining strict adherence to Pathways policies and procedures and keeping abreast of relevant laws and changes affecting the Pathways area.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the success and growth of Bridge Housing and its reputation by maintaining effective relationships with support agencies and other key stakeholders and developing and maintaining one's own skills and abilities.
  • Working to the Customer Service Charter and Housing policies and procedures
  • Building and maintaining relationships with tenants, support providers, and communities to create sustainable communities
  • Administrative duties are actioned in a timely manner within the SDM software and other relevant IT systems

Our Pathways Housing Managers have versatile skills and backgrounds including…

  • in property and/or tenancy management
  • working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • working with social housing and residential tenancy management
  • Certificate in Community Services
  • Certificate in Social Housing or Real Estate certificate of registration
  • community engagement and trauma-informed practice

  • Our Housing Managers do need to have a current and valid drivers license in order to conduct a primary objective of the role (property inspections, which are at least one day's work per week). They also need to be willing to obtain a Criminal Record Check.
