About Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (BLCAC)

Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (BLCAC) is a registered Indigenous Corporation and represents the interests of Bunurong Traditional Owners. It is the Registered Aboriginal Party appointed pursuant to the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (Vic) covering part of metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, the Bass Coast and West Gippsland.

The BLCAC is an inclusive organisation that represents Bunurong people, their culture and heritage. The BLCAC provides a unified voice for its members and supports its people’s cultural goals and aspirations.

About the Role

This is a leadership role that works across the BLCAC as the Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) area and traditional lands. Reporting directly to the CEO, and a key member of the internal Leadership Team, the Office Manager will play a key role in achieving the BLCACs strategic operational objectives. The Office Manager will also be responsible for the day-to-day operational functions (operational compliance, OH&S, risk management, IT and office administration) of the organisation including the supervision of office staff. The nature of this role requires strong and effective leadership to support and manage a culturally strong and diverse organisation.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate proven leadership experience and ability in organisational management. As the Office Manager you will foster effective and cooperative relationships to support and enable a productive and positive work environment.

You must have prior experience working with Traditional Owners groups, have leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and strong governance skills to ensure the continued success of BLCAC.
