ABOUT Candella:
Candella is a values-based not-for-profit, providing community mental health services through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to more than 900 people across Melbourne.
Candella exists to provide high quality Mental Health Supports. At our core, we believe Mental Health Supports are crucial to most health goals and we strive to build our customers capacity, gaining confidence and autonomy in their lives. Part of this vision is to provide a dedicated Support Coordination Team whose role is vital in the NDIS journey for our valued Customers.
Our staff are supported to work autonomously to provide recovery-oriented mental health outreach services, and we invite our staff to share their immensely varied but equally valued experience with each other to collaboratively problem solve and improve outcomes for our customers.
Candella’s workforce is as diverse as the people we support. We encourage applications from people who have a lived experience of mental health challenges, Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders, and people belonging to diverse cultures and identity groups. We pride ourselves on having a high level of workforce satisfaction.
We support our staff to work from their own space, and we empower them to manage their own time and workload, to best match each of their customer’s individual needs. Support Coordinators have opportunities for continuous improvement through regular consultation in person or over video chat.
At Candella our coordination team provides both Level 2 Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching. Regardless of the source of funding we always focus on developing an authentic human connection with our customers and finding space with them to hear their stories and understand their needs.
