 A little about the role

  • We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist for this limited term (12 months, until October 2022) part-time position.
  • You will contribute to the success of DPV Health by operating as a grade 2 Paediatric Physiotherapist within the Child Health Team.
  • You will work within a Family and Customer Centred Framework to provide a comprehensive centre based and consultative Paediatric Physiotherapy service to children up to school aged up to 12 years of age.
  • Key deliverables for this role is to provide assessment, planning, treatment, education and management as a Paediatric Physiotherapist.
  • Community Health at DPV Health provides services across the outer north of Melbourne. This position will provide services from our Mill Park site, however, travel between sites may be required as we expand our services.

About you

  • You will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive centre based and consultative Physiotherapy service for children up to 12-years-old. The service is co-designed with the family, to meet the needs of the child and family in a manner which respects their rights and confidentiality.
  • You will work in partnership and collaboration with the professionals who are supporting the child/family, to provide a timely and developmentally appropriate service and support.  This may include internal and external health professionals and other community team members (e.g. MCHN, Paediatrician, preschool and school staff).
  • You will assess and manage the child’s musculoskeletal and neuro-developmental conditions in order to implement interventions that will address the child/family’s needs and priorities.
  •  You will ensure the standards of the Physiotherapy service provided is based on current best practice in accordance with relevant evidence-based Physiotherapy research and the Australia Physiotherapy Association Code of Ethics.

 The fine print

  • Part time, fixed term 12- month position
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Clearance Screening Check
  • A Bachelor or Masters of Physiotherapy from a recognised university is essential
  • Current unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) required
  • Full driver's license and travel between sites may be required
