International Programs Manager

Edmund Rice Foundation (Australia)

About the role

Do you have extensive experience in managing international development projects? We are looking for someone with exceptional skills in leading, managing and collaborating in partnerships, across a range of complex cross-cultural teams, to deliver around 30 education projects annually in the global south.

Whilst most of ERFA's projects are designed by implementing partners, the International Programs Manager will have substantial input and influence which requires a high-level of collaboration and partner capacity building to co-design and deliver education initiatives in partnership with local communities.

ERFA’s core values of presence, compassion and liberation will guide the successful candidate in working closely and sensitively with our partners and the communities they serve to support them in eradicating poverty and determining their own futures.

About You

You will have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in international development program leadership and management, ideally with knowledge of ANCP requirements
  • Experience in project design including results-based planning, asset-based community development, root cause analysis, risk management and budgeting
  • Exceptional skills in development project monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning
  • Sound knowledge of ACFID’s quality principles
  • Strong financial and grant management skills
  • Good knowledge of international development and NGO trends
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong negotiating skills
