About the role

We are looking for an experienced medical receptionist to join our team providing administrative support to ten private consultants. The position includes attending to front reception desk, scheduling appointments, receipting of accounts, transmitting Medicare/DVA and other Third Party accounts. Typing of letters and detailed medical reports, arranging Telehealth consultations, entering medical pathology and radiology results, filing and other duties to ensure the day to day running of the consulting suites. The rooms are open weekdays only, no weekend hours are required.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Administrative experience in a medical/specialist practice
• Advanced experience with Medical Software packages and the ability to learn and utilise new software systems and programs as required.
• Excellent typing and dictaphone skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer focus.
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Proven organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously if the need arose
• A strong commitment to high quality care.
