ErinEarth is a small, purpose-driven community organisation focused on building connections with nature, demonstrating sustainable living, and caring for Country. We are seeking a full-time Education Team Leader to lead and manage our education programs with preschoolers, school students and community groups. This important role reports directly to the Manager, and works closely with our Garden Manager and other staff and volunteers to design and deliver innovative learning programs.

Key responsibilities:
- Bring your inspirational leadership, vision, excitement and innovation to ErinEarth’s sustainable living and connect-with-nature educational programs
- Design and deliver highly engaging and inspiring onsite and offsite educational sessions
- Build on ErinEarth’s reputation and expand our presence in the local education sector, through promoting our programs to early years learning centres, preschools, primary and secondary schools, and community groups
- Design, lead and support educational activities at ErinEarth events (e.g. open days, workshops)
- Carry out general administrative duties for onsite and offsite educational delivery (e.g. communication with clients, bookings management, WHS, risk assessments and site induction)
- Develop relationships and collaborate with like-minded individuals and organisations on educational events and activities
- Lead the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of ErinEarth’s educational programs
- Communicate and work with local media on educational matters
Selection criteria:
- A passion for environmental education and sustainable living
- A relevant qualification and/or 3+ years’ experience with educational design and delivery to bring about positive environmental/social change
- Ability to lead, support and collaborate with a diverse team, including fellow staff members and volunteers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor communication to different audiences
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse and cross-cultural communities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience in building networks and partnerships
- Demonstrated experience working or volunteering with not-for-profit organisations
- Possess or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
Start will be as soon as possible.
Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
