About the program

Jesuit Community College, is a Registered Training Organisation, offering nationally recognised vocational education and training, non-accredited training, professional and personal development programs and community development programs.

Education and training activity is built around three key areas – Skills for Learning, Skills for Earning and Skills for Volunteering.

The College places high priority on helping people whose education has been interrupted to develop foundation skills – basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills – as a key to social and economic inclusion.

For people facing barriers to learning, it sparks hope, aspiration and interest in education, provides a solid foundation for further study and connection to a ‘community of learning’.

We work with other education providers, community organisations, agencies, businesses, volunteer mentors and government to support all students through transitions into, through and out of, the College and offers them direct pathways to further study, work or meaningful and fulfilling participation in the community

About the role

Jesuit Community College has incorporated the highly engaging Bounce program into 22476VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory).

The program focusses on ensuring that the student is not only prepared for a successful working life, but also has the confidence and motivation to achieve anything to which they set their mind.

Jesuit Community College is seeking to engage a passionate, motivated and qualified casual Trainer/Assessor to deliver training in the Northern and Western Melbourne Metro suburbs. Training to be delivered includes:

• 22476VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory)
• FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
• And other scope of registration that meets your qualifications

The ideal candidates will ensure effective quality and compliance systems are in place and our RTO is always ready for audits.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates will require relevant tertiary qualification/s and/or experience in the following:

• A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment ((TAE40110 including TAELLN411 and TAEASS502A) or TAE40116
• Experience delivering nationally accredited programmes
• Experience preparing, delivering and assessing units of competency
• Experience with face-to-face and online deliveries advantageous
• Participation in training and assessment validation
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management and other staff, and with stakeholders in government, the private and the community sectors
• Ability to fulfil reporting and administrative requirements associated with the position
• Sound knowledge of Learner Management System operations
• Enjoy the flexibility of working up to 4 days per week across the North and West of Melbourne Metropolitan
• Have the passion and commitment to improve learners’ outcomes
• Be willing to join a close team with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office, Excel and Power Point.
• Understanding and sympathy with the mission and ethos of Jesuit Social Services.
• Current driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
• Valid Working with Children Check card
• Successful Police Check to be conducted by Jesuit Social Services prior to employment commencement
