- Voluntary Ongoing Part-Time Day hours – Monday – Friday
- Located at Head Office, Jubilee Community Services, 2b – 2c Boundary Road Mortdale 2223
- Reports to: Community Development Officer
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who would like to work in the community sector helping older adults who are living in their home to assist in community activities like shopping, medical appointments and social outings in their community.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinating with the main Support Worker and Bus Driver

Support with the planning and deliverance of daily client activities
-
Ability to work within a coordinated team
-
Ability to build quick rapport with clients
-
Assist clients within safety guidelines and practices
-
Some limited Manual handling is involved sometimes
-
Administrative tasks as needed from time to time
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Prior Experience working with frail and aged care people in a supportive role
And/or,
- Exposure working in community settings and/or not-for-profit organisations
Skills:
- A genuine interest in older adult’s wellbeing and personal goals
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Good physical stamina
- Friendly and adaptable personality
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Good time management skills
- Quick-thinking problem-solving abilities
PERFORMANCE Expectations:
- Always dealing with clients, internal staff and external staff with courtesy
- Always maintain client and staff confidences
- Complete any administrative directive tasks on time
