About the Project

LOGO Management Resources “www.logo.com.au” is recruiting a Project Support Officer for WSROC.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a range of inter-disciplinary projects focused on climate resilience in Greater Sydney.

Working closely with WSROC staff, the Project Support Officer will support the delivery of WSROC’s industry-leading “Turn Down the Heat” program by providing outstanding project administration support.

The successful candidate will become part of a small, dedicated team working to improve Western Sydney’s resilience to urban and extreme heat.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the successful and timely delivery of WSROC heat resilience projects.
  • Provide administrative support including, but not limited to, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and processing payments to suppliers.
  • Assisting project staff with planning and delivery of professional events and workshops.
  • Assisting project staff compiling, reviewing, and publishing project reports and presentations.

Qualifications/Experience

These are “must haves” for this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in project administration and/or management.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • High degree of computer literacy in word processing and presentation software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to confidently liaise with project stakeholders from varying backgrounds and levels of seniority.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of EEO and WH&S Legislation.
  • Class C driver’s licence (or better).

Having these will give you an advantage over other applicants:

  • Qualifications in environmental science, urban planning, policy or similar.
  • Experience working in local, or state government.
  • Willingness to work flexible and occasionally long hours.

Location. WSROC Offices are located in Blacktown NSW.

Employment conditions

  • Salary $70,000 plus super.
  • This is a part time position for 4 days per week. Hours of work are 28 per week. The opportunity to work flexible hours and to work from home will be discussed at interview. (You may like to include in your application your preferred working arrangement(s)).

Formed in 1973, the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) is a membership organisation that represents local councils in the Greater Western Sydney region.

With a reputation for considered policy analysis and bipartisan advocacy, WSROC brings a collective voice to those issues which are crucial for Greater Western Sydney's growing population.

WSROC's primary role is to represent the councils and communities of Greater Western Sydney, as well as developing resource sharing and other co-operative projects between member councils. WSROC also manages a number of projects, which are either funded jointly by its members or from external sources.
