About the role

The Digital Transformation & Information Services (DT&IS) business unit provides high quality information and resources to stakeholders without barriers and drives the strategic focus of the technology roadmap to achieve organisational objectives and meet business requirements. The Information Services team supports stakeholders to access and utilise information technology and data, delivers IT support services and maintains technology platforms to ensure fit for purpose, cost effective and secure solutions to meet agreed service levels.

We are seeking a high-performing, experienced Business Intelligence Developer for a permanent, fulltime opportunity to work at our Central Office in the Heidelberg area. With work from home options, you will manage, design, develop and maintain the Microsoft Power BI platform, projects and associated technologies. Acting as the technical leader, this role will provide expert solutions, manage escalations and support the business to ensure effective delivery of services.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead management, design, development and maintenance of the Power BI platform, projects and associated technologies.
  • Manage and build reports, dashboards and related applications using expert knowledge.
  • Provide expert advice and act as the escalation point for Power BI related issues ensuring proactive, timely remediation work is undertaken.
  • Implement improvements, upgrades and releases, bi year Waves and logic applications.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create and develop programs, projects, functions and features.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Project Management or other related field and/or equivalent experience in a similar industry and Microsoft Power BI Training Certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver services using knowledge of BI systems, technology platforms and applications.
  • Proven understanding of project management, process review and system improvement.
  • Strong experience with databases, Microsoft Power BI platform and Office suite including Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Flows and SharePoint.
  • Capability to consult with stakeholders to identify and meet operational requirements and strategic plans.
