Your new team

Orygen Specialist Program provides mental health services to young people aged 15-25 and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.

The Continuing Care Team (CCT) work closely with young people with psychotic disorders (including young people at ‘ultra-high risk’ of psychosis), mood disorders, and personality disorders; and also manage the co-morbid substance use disorders, eating disorders, and neurodevelopment disorders.

Your new role:

  • Provide general administration, reception, switchboard and medical records services at CCT Sunshine campus
  • Deliver a professional and caring customer focussed service, often as the first point of contact and communication for patients, their families and visitors
  • Assist with preparation and running of board meetings
  • Work collaboratively with other administrative staff, managers, clinical and medical staff and multidisciplinary teams

About you

You will have initiative, a commitment to excellence, analytical and problem-solving skills, an ability to think conceptually as well as creatively, and the capacity and aptitude to. You have highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as:

  • Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritise, manage and respond flexibly to a variety of tasks
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone manner
  • Demonstrated computer skills with all Microsoft programs, and ability to learn other computer database programs 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
