Our client’s purpose is to support, advocate for and promote the work of Neighbourhood Houses in Tasmania. Neighbourhood Houses are the warm and generous heart of their communities, offering a wide range of programs and activities for local people.
Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania (NHT) is the peak body for the Network of 35 Houses across the State. Houses work from a community development framework, which enables individuals and groups of people to make changes in their community on issues that affect them. NHT exists to support, represent, and enable Houses to make a real difference in people’s lives
Our client is seeking a Policy Officer with values that are congruent with those of NHT.
The position is full time however part time will be considered for the right applicant. It is a fixed term contract until July 2023.
The purpose of the position is to develop a framework to better enable and build Neighbourhood Houses’ capacity to engage community services in place-based service delivery.
A secondary purpose is to promote public awareness of the social, and economic contributions of Neighbourhood Houses in Tasmania with a focus of including the contribution and economic impact the Community Care Advisor Pilot.
