An exciting new opportunity for a motivated and experienced manager of evaluation and social impact to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this critical role, working with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About RAV

RAV is a secular, community-based, not-for-profit organisation with no religious affiliations who have been providing services to the Victorian community for over 70 years. RAV provides services from centres across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position has primary responsibility to lead impact, evaluation, and innovation activities to meet RAV’s strategic goals and achieve intended impact for families, individuals, and community. This includes providing professional expertise and skills in research and evaluation project management, including research design, data collection and analysis, and the ability to translate the results of research and outcomes of evaluation activities. The role will oversee the collaborative design and development of fit-for-purpose outcome measurement and evaluation, incorporating the client voice and building the evidence base for the organisation.

This role is based in our Camberwell office and is full-time, ongoing.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications, including research and evaluation or applied social research within the fields of behavioural science, social science, psychology, health promotion, public health, gender studies, community development, international development, other area of relevance or equivalent lived experience.
  • Advanced experience in designing and managing evaluation to support ongoing improvement, learning and assess outcomes and impacts.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying an ethical approach to evaluation design, data collection and management and use of findings and in relation to sensitive topics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative data collection.
  • Significant evaluation experience, including organisational, systemic and/or programmatic evaluation experience.
  • Considerable previous quantitative and qualitative analysis and evaluation experience.
  • Excellent report writing skills and an ability to present data and insights in effective manner.
