BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is permanent part-time,15 hours per week and will be spread across multiple weekdays. Responsibilities will include:
- Creating original audio-visual, multimedia content that conveys the nuance of our messaging for sharing online and on our website.
- Partnering with our Content Lead to plan, schedule and post original content or share relevant content on our 4 main social media platforms.
- Engaging with responses to social media posts.
- Providing basic video editing to pre-recorded video content to package for YouTube or other online video platforms.
- Editing and uploading an annual podcast series.
- Working with the broader team to implement our marketing and communications strategy.
- Working consistently to our Brand Guidelines and Style Guide.
- Ensuring all audio-visual products meet minimum accessibility guidelines. This includes checking accuracy of captions and transcripts.
- Monitoring and reporting on our digital engagement to inform future activity.
- Finding images and preparing visuals and slides (from templates) for video content to match RA’s visual style.
- Managing our YouTube channel and Vimeo channel.
- Other ad hoc audio-visual or online related projects as required.
NECESSARY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Formal education, professional or personal experience in digital media, content creation, social media management, multimedia, or marketing.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other video editing platforms.
- Understanding of major social media platforms and strong computer literacy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks to deliver on agreed deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent copywriting, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
- Police check and Working With Children Check (not needed to apply but will be required if hired for the role)

DESIRABLE BUT NOT NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Lived experience of disability, preferably Autism.
- Experience with Canva.
- Understanding of neurodiversity and/or the social model of disability.
- Experience with Meta Business or content scheduling platforms.
- Experience with Google Analytics or social media/website reporting.
