The Clinical Quality & Risk Manager and Nursing Clinical Lead will be a strategically minded clinical leader who will work with the RFW Leadership Community and the RFW Clinical Community, to inspire clinical excellence and a high performing positive culture, leading trauma informed, evidence informed and culturally safe practice.

The Clinical Quality & Risk Manager and Nursing Clinical Lead, is a strategic leadership role, providing professional leadership and support to the Nursing community at RFW. This role provides high level advice and support to operational managers for Nursing service delivery, including workforce development and is responsible for professional governance of the discipline ensuring appropriate clinical supervision, scope of practice and maintenance of discipline specific competencies or credentialing.

In addition, the Clinical Quality & Risk Manager and Nursing Clinical Lead will be responsible for strategic advice regarding Clinical Governance at Royal Far West and the implementation of the RFW Clinical Governance Framework.

Please apply if you have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
  • Strong track record in Clinical Governance including experience in NSQHS Clinical Accreditation processes.
  • Demonstrated contemporary knowledge of health leadership and contemporary workforce models.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in delivering Nursing services to children or young people with developmental, behavioural, mental health and/or learning disorders with a track record in delivering positive outcome.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, able to build credibility and influence across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong track record in people and process management, with a focus on developing, supporting and inspiring a community of Nurses that work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to be a clinical thought leader, providing strategic clinical direction and advice and to build effective internal and external stakeholder networks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the issues influencing individual and organisational performance within the clinical setting and ability to positively impact these.
  • An understanding of and commitment to trauma informed practice, children’s health, including mental health and indigenous health in rural and remote communities.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Post graduate qualification or studies in health management, leadership, public health, or clinical research.
