Save The Children header

Save the Children impacts the lives of children in Australia, the Pacific and beyond on a daily basis. But we can't do it alone; the engagement of our donors, supporters and retail customers is critical to our success. We're looking for a determined and creative problem solver to help ensure the success of our marketing and fundraising efforts.

This is a great opportunity to pair strategic thinking with a drive to deliver, working in a highly collaborative and data-centric environment. If you've worked as a strategist, project/product/application manager or delivery lead in a data, digital or tech focused environment, we want to talk to you!

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We're ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children's rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there's a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.

Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent position you'll provide strategic leadership and data program delivery within the Save the Children Australia's Supporter Engagement portfolio, with a focus on fundraising and our retail network. You'll leverage the skillsets of a team of 4 technical specialists to provide data driven solutions to business problems.

You will make an impact by:

  • partnering with stakeholders to understand the drivers, needs and challenges of their business unit/portfolio.
  • identifying opportunities to increase donations and sales revenue using data, analysis and machine learning.
  • leading a program of work to enhance data maturity across Supporter Engagement as a means of driving performance.
  • enabling a team of technical experts to work effectively and efficiently by anticipating challenges and resolving blockers.
  • overseeing the provision of excellent BAU data & analytics services, ensuring activity is prioritised according to business value.

Does this sound like you?

You have a curious and solutions-focused mindset, and love tacking business challenges using data and insights. You thrive in a team environment and are a natural servant-leader who takes pride in enabling your team to do their best work. You can translate business language into technical language (and vice-versa) and you relish the opportunity to bring creative solutions and process improvements to the table. You're a great problem solver and with the drive to turn strategies into action.

This role requires:

  • Experience in tacking large scale business challenges using data
  • A background working in agile or agile-hybrid environments
  • Previous experience leading a high performing team of technical experts
  • An understanding of the data landscape and customer focused technology

Working at Save the Children is more than just a job.

It's the feeling of knowing that your work is contributing to making the world a better place for children and working with others who feel the same. In addition to a connection to social causes, you will have access to:

  • Opportunity to work on additional projects alongside business as usual
  • Individual learning plans to assist in your career development
  • Internal employment and development opportunities
  • Friendly and flexible work environment, including working from home
  • Pet and child friendly work environment
  • Support for workplace wellness, including access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Competitive salary + super
  • Full salary packaging benefits
