About headspace
Established in 2006, headspace is a well-recognised, national not-for-profit organisation making a difference to the lives of young people aged 12-25 years.
This includes delivering short term psychological services for young people with a diagnosable mild to moderate mental illness.
In Orange, the local office is part of a group of 7 centres in the central west. The team in Orange is poised ready to grow the services available to support young people. The offices support and mentor each other.

About the Role
This role as Senior Clinical Advisor will work directly with young people by –
- Bringing new clients onboard and developing appropriate treatment plans
- Delivering evidence-based psychology support to clients with moderately complex needs
- Ensuring each client has access to related services by referring clients to other support services within a multidisciplinary team
- Writing reports and referral letters
- Running support groups
- Engaging with the local family and school communities
The role will support the team in Orange by –
- Upskilling the team to ensure best practice
- Providing clinical guidance
- Leading case meetings, team meetings, step care meetings
- Driving shared care connections with Local Health District, CAMHS, Marathon Health and other care services
About You
To be eligible for this role you are a -
- Social worker registered with AASW, or
- Psychologist or mental health nurse who is fully registered with AHPRA.
- An experienced clinician with a minimum 5 years’ post qualification work providing direct evidence-based mental health services
- Committed professional focused on youth mental health and recovery focused practice
- Leader of teams
- Licensed driver
- Holder of a current WWCC
