About the service:
The Head to Health service is a service for adults in Western Sydney who are seeking emotional wellbeing and mental health support. Family and friends of people experiencing mental illness can also seek information, advice and support through the centre, located in the heart of Parramatta.
The service, is tailored to the needs of the community in Western Sydney, and provides a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support.
The Paramatta Head to Health service provides a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress, allowing them to:
- Identify alternatives to presenting to the Emergency Department for low risk individuals
- Access support from trained mental health professionals within their community, outside a clinical setting.

Role overview:
- The Clinical Team Leader role has responsibility for the provision of clinical leadership and management to the site based team members.
- The focus of this role is on the day to day delivery of excellence in quality care provision, ensuring all clinical governance and compliance targets are implemented and met
- Supporting innovation and quality improvement to ensure evidence-based outcomes for people accessing the service.
- May also involve some face to face client work
Requirements:
- Must have one of the following: Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
- Knowledge & understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions & clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use.
- Experience in the management of a multi-disciplinary service delivery team incl. the ability to lead the coordination of care for people with complex needs including consultation and engagement with a wide range of professionals
- Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills
- The ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders.
- Experience and demonstrable skills in clinical governance, supervision and mentoring of staff, process development and monitoring, data capture and reporting to meet key contractual benchmarks
- Experience in the use of electronic client/customer management systems, ability to use a desktop computer, and experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
- Must hold a/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
