    About the service:

    The Head to Health service is a brand new service for adults in Western Sydney seeking emotional wellbeing and mental health support. The service provides a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support and a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress. Allowing low risk individuals to identify alternatives to presenting to the Emergency Department and gaining access support from trained mental health professional within their community, outside a clinical setting.

    Role overview:

    • Provide practice management support to the Head to Health service, and management team to deliver and operate services
    • Oversee and support a wide range of administrative task; including management of the Medical Receptionists, appointment systems, billing and medical records, training and on-boarding
    • Problem solve decisively and responsibly in dealing with difficult situations, including the escalation of clinical issues and the management of complaints
    • Comply with all required Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, Codes of Conduct, WHS and other requirements
    • Participate in risk management activities and report any risks identified to the Regional Manager, Services Manager and Clinical Team Leader
    • Support with the accreditation process 

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of Cert III in Business/Medical Administration (ideally tertiary level education)
    • Ideally five years’ experience in Practice Management preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Experience with Health Care Accreditation processes
    • Experience managing staff including providing supervision, performance reviews and performance management.
    • Excellent organisations skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work well under pressure and manage communications and information with staff
    • Demonstrated computer skills with experience in managing practice software for appointment management and skill in all Microsoft Office programs.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to maintain a calm, pleasant and respectful manner.
    • The ability to deal with a diverse range of people with respect and sensitivity
    • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, solve problems and seek counsel where appropriate
    • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
    • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
