Payroll Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a for a permanent full-time Payroll Officer to join our Human Resource team at our Redfern, NSW office. The Payroll Officer ensures the accurate processing of the payroll, including timesheets, leave, termination calculations, superannuation and other payroll calculations. They are the go to person for payroll queries via email.

As a Payroll Officer you will:

  • Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 11000 employees within a team / 1000 employees individually
  • Process payroll autonomously with the iChris or Chris21 payroll software
  • Calculation and payment of termination payments

You have:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar payroll processing role is preferred.
  • Experience using iChris/Chris21 or a similar payroll system
  • Demonstrable experience in superior customer service
  • Exposure to multiple EAs and award and high-volume (+11,000 employees) payroll processing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation and best practice to be applied in the payroll space.
  • A strong analytical background and proficient Excel skills
