The Salvation Army Australia's Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support adults and families, including accompanying children with accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven program manager who will be overseeing a multi-disciplinary support through health partners, accommodation and housing services and Community Correction and Law services. This includes supervision of staff and programs assisting clients who are living at The Salvation Army Red Shield Men's Hostel or who are participating in our programs, community programs and/or engagement with The Salvation Army Mission.

This is a supported accommodation Justice diversion program and homelessness program. The program manger ensures a quality client-centred approach to service delivery to assist clients moving towards independence and building strong connections with the community to enhance their lives.

You will successfully

  • Ensure high-quality, effective, client focused and responsive service delivery in accordance with the service delivery guidelines by providing leadership to staff in all day-to-day aspects of their roles.
  • Monitor and review program and service delivery to ensure best practice and internal and external service needs are met.
  • Ensure case management documentation, records and data is collected in line with TSA policy and procedure. There may also be generic deliverables that are common to some or many roles
  • TSA risk management policy and procedures are adhered to and monitored to ensure the safety and well-being of clients, employees and visitors, and the continuation of operations.
  • Monitor financial performance to ensure annual budgets are met.
  • Maintain and grow partnerships in housing and accommodation options.
  • Maintain reporting requirements and acquittals.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Alice Springs, NT. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS SOC - SACS WA Level 7.

You will have

  • Degree level qualifications in a relevant field and
  • Extensive relevant experience in a leadership role or equivalent in supported accommodation.
  • Knowledge and experience within the homelessness and justice diversion programs
  • NT Working with Children Check.
  • National Criminal History Check.
  • Financial check.
  • A current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • A current NT driver's license.
  • Be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
  • A Certificate of Full Vaccination status for Covid-19.
