Established in 1984 to take care of the municipal services needs of the local outstations, TORAC still delivers a range of programs and services to the community and surrounding outstations.

About the Role
Tjuwanpa are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Gardener to join our team.
Our Gardener undertake a varied range of tasks including horticultural maintenance, maintenance of collection records and supervising and training staff.
The successful candidate will provide job coaching and mentoring to jobseekers with a range of barriers to employment.

- Undertake horticultural development and curation of horticultural collections in accordance with current horticultural industry practice
- Implement work and maintenance programs to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services
- Assist with implementing policies and procedures including complying with work health and safety, environmental, risk and quality requirements
- Assist with supervising staff ,apprentices and contractors/sub-contractors to ensure efficient and effective performance of all required tasks
- Assist with propagation and nursery maintenance
- Curate horticultural collections, including the maintenance of plant tags and labels used in horticultural displays, to facilitate community awareness, positive aesthetics, education and conservation
Key Selection Criteria
- Previous team leading/supervisory experience
- Sound horticulture knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Ideally possess Certificate III in Parks and Gardens
- Driver’s licence and WHS White Card
- National Police Check or be willing to obtain
- Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
