About the role
The Health Data Officer will work with the primary care team to use existing systems to extract and collect data related to primary care. This role will develop meaningful and useful data reports for general practice including data interpretation to inform areas of quality improvement and planning. If you have the ability to display and interpret data for meaningful use and you enjoy developing data from a range of sources to provide reports then we want to hear from you.
This position is being offered in either a full-time or part-time capacity and is funded for a 12 month period. Future employment is subject to ongoing funding.
Requirements
Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or working towards or equivalent experience in information and or computer sciences, health data analytics, health informatics, engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of report writing, data analysis and data management across multiple systems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the capacity to analyse and plan approaches to handling information and or problems.
- Demonstrated organisational skills to manage a number of priorities in order to achieve desired outcomes within specific timeframes.
- Strong communication and engagement skills with demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Desirable requirements
- Experience in data visualisation tools e.g. PowerBI, Tableau or Crystal reporting.
- Knowledge and/or experience of the broader health and or primary health care setting within the Australian context.
