 With 40 years’ experience across Australia, Asia and Pacific, ABV is focussed on programs that produce outcomes, positive stories of change for the small businesses and not-for-profits that our Skilled Business Professionals and staff support through transferring Australian business know-how and experience. 

About the role

The key objective of this role is to support the teams of staff and volunteers who are delivering community development programs across Australia and the Pacific through standardised project planning, monitoring and reporting processes and tools that enhance program delivery.

The PMO Manager will be the custodian of organisation-wide project management standards, templates, tools, and processes. They will provide strategic oversight for project management and monitor interdependences across the portfolio, including liaising with senior management and ensuring the project management system integrates with, and delivers benefits to, all areas of ABV.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high level support and advice to the ABV CEO and Business Operations Manager in portfolio prioritisation, reporting and tracking.
  • Develop, working with the program managers, project plans and schedules with activities, dependencies, resources and risk registers for every project undertaken by ABV.
  • Provide support and assistance to the program managers to maintain all project records, including schedules, resource usage and change management.
  • Work collaboratively with all sections to implement a standardised and integrated project management system.
  • Facilitate the prioritisation process of projects, scoping workshops, post-implementation reviews and various other project-related workshops.
  • Deliver and/or coordinate training for all existing and new ABV program staff in their use of the project management system, processes and tools.
  • Analyse project data and prepare project/program/portfolio reports and dashboards for senior management and Board.
  • Analyse the portfolio of projects and make recommendations to the CEO and Business Operations Manager as required.

This role will initially be for 3 days per week, moving to full-time as the portfolio grows over the next 6-12 months. The role will be based in our Sydney CBD office, and may allow for some working from home as negotiated with the manager.
