About the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE)

ATSE is one of Australia’s five learned academies. We are a values-led, independent, non-government, not-for profit organisation comprised of over 900 independent world-leading STEM experts who make up our fellowship. About the role

Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will lead the planning and targeted business development to cultivate, secure, manage and grow sustainable and fruitful relationships with external partners to create opportunities that deliver financial support to our programs, and other initiatives that align with our mission. 

A solid foundation of corporate relationships already exists. As a key team lead, your expertise will be used to research, analyse and segment the market to craft and deliver a strategy to identify and manage partner relationships leading to positive financial outcomes. You will enjoy close working relationships with the leadership team and drive the coordination of all strategic relationships.

Experience and skills for success

We’re looking for someone who is collaborative and likes achieving outcomes. To deliver this role successfully you’ll need to have:

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, to build, manage and influence relationships.
• Sound knowledge of developing strategic market approaches and principles that underpin successful business development.
• Proven success in building business development campaigns and securing corporate partners, or similar transferable skills and experience.
• Well-developed research, analytical and planning skills.
• A history of being results driven, self-motivated and passionate about working in the not-for-profit space.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and measure relationship management plans.
• High levels of personal enthusiasm, commitment to goals of ATSE and in particular the ambition for developing the financial sustainability of the organisation through connection to industry and commerce.
• Strong alignment with our values, as they underpin all that we do, how we behave and how we engage with all people.
