The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is a not-for-profit organisation responsible for the training, assessment and continuing professional development of emergency physicians as well as the advancement of professional standards in emergency medicine in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Position

The Governance and Standards Support Officer provides support to employees across the organisation, in relation to College Governance, ethical and professional standards, and accreditation activities. This is a full-time position, based in Melbourne, Australia.

The key responsibilities of the role shall include:

  • Administering a range of office functions including diary management and travel arrangements for the College President and Chief Executive Officer.
  • Assisting with processes associated with reconsideration, review and appeals of College decisions, including distribution of associated decision and outcome documentation.
  • Administering member renewal declarations and assisting with trainee declarations that require consideration of declared matters.
  • Updating sections of the College website and intranet that are relevant to the Governance and Standards Division.
