The Position

We are excited to announce an opening for a Research and Evaluation Officer to join our dynamic Research team. This part-time position (22.5 hours per week, 0.6 FTE) is a fixed-term role until 20 December 2024, based in Melbourne, Australia.

Working within a close-knit unit, this role is responsible for undertaking a range of research and evaluation activities that will inform the College’s work in advocacy and policy development. This role involves coordinating research and evaluation projects, including data collection tool development, data management, analysis and reporting for projects relating to the practice of Emergency Medicine.

Paired with a relevant tertiary qualification in Health Sciences. Public Health (or related discipline), our ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong research and analytical skills and proficiency in statistical programs (e.g., STATA, SPSS).
  • Demonstrated capabilities in conducting evaluation projects, including survey design, data collection, analysis and the interpretation of data.
  • Experience with or demonstrated ability to manage health and/ or workforce related data.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to present data in an engaging form to any audience.
