When it comes to our environment, the Australian Conservation Foundation has been leading the way in protecting our living world for over half a century.
We are the national environment organisation committed to caring for Australia’s unique and beautiful wildlife and natural world. We’re inclusive, non-partisan and funded by the Australian community.
Whether it’s advocating for the Great Barrier Reef, koalas snoozing in big old trees or for strong climate action, our dedicated community of more than half a million people are constantly working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and wildlife thrive.
The Marketing Communications Lead sits in the Marketing Team and is responsible for leading key marketing and communication moments to amplify ACF’s work in protecting nature and solving the climate crisis.
The role leads the strategic planning of key marketing campaigns and works closely with the Story Impact Lead and Digital Communications Producer to create content to engage new and existing audiences. During this contract period, the Lead will be tasked with several key projects including, but not limited to, the production of Habitat - ACF’s bi-annual magazine.
You know the power of strategic marketing and know that by applying good marketing practise can lead to change and action across our nature and climate campaigns.
You are a strategic thinker, confident and capable to take the lead on projects, working alongside teams outside of marketing and the wider engagement directorate to achieve your project specific goals.
You are an outstanding copy writer.
You are confident across many different communications channels, and know the strength and weaknesses of each, and can therefore make quick decisions on which approach will be best for any given communications moment.
You have a great communication style that gets stakeholders on side, and allows you to assist in the development of more junior members of the department.
Knowledge and experience of climate and/or environment messages and issues is a bonus.
You’ll do important work with one of Australia’s most impactful organisations, and with our world-class organisational culture and great team, we guarantee you’ll have fun along the way.
ACF is proud to offer our staff a supportive workplace with excellent conditions, including:
People are at the heart of everything we do to protect our planet. To achieve the bold change we seek, we must represent the richness of diversity within our communities so that all of us who care about nature can step up and lead.
ACF is committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants. We actively encourage First Nations people, people from CALD backgrounds, LGBTIQA+ people, people with disability and others who have diverse experiences of our world to apply for this opportunity.
