THE ROLE
As a Volunteer Finance, Audit and Risk Committee Member, you will bring your skills, experience, and expertise to support PCA’s growth and development. You will have the opportunity to work with other dedicated committee members and staff to make a meaningful contribution to the community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend quarterly meetings (online) and actively participate in committee discussions and decision-making processes.
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to PCA, in line with our strategic direction plan.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Act as an ambassador for PCA, promoting its work and values to the community.
- This role requires a time commitment of approximately 6 hours per quarter, being time prior to review papers and a meeting of 2 hours, held during business hours on a quarterly basis.
- Member of Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) or Chartered Accountants (CA).
- Governance qualification such as Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD)
- Demonstrated financial management experience in accounting, reporting, budgeting and analysing financial statements.
- Understanding of audit functions, risk assessment and legal and governance requirements of not-for-profit organisations.
- Strong commitment to PCA’s mission, values, and objectives.
- Experience serving on non-profit boards or committees or equivalent leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
