ABOUT ADARRN

The Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Residential Rehabilitation Network (ADARRN) is a network made up of representatives of Aboriginal residential rehabilitation services across Australia. The network meets quarterly to support each other and advocate for issues, to share and develop culturally sound best practice principles, knowledge and experience, as well as aiming to be the key consultative group at both a state and national level regarding Aboriginal residential rehabilitation services.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • 15.2hrs per week
  • Other conditions of employment are identified in your contract for employment and in the Modern Award as identified in your employment contract.
  • All employees must comply with all policies in force at the time of commencement of employment and those implemented from time to time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Administration assistant is responsible for supporting the CEO with the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintaining & regularly updating the website (on wix.com)
  • Replying to email enquiries and setting up calendar meetings (Outlook)
  • Supporting the finance officer with basic bookkeeping & accounting (scanning and processing receipts/reimbursements)
  • Preparing board papers (secretarial duties) with CEO/Chairperson
  • Organising travel arrangements (such as booking flights and accommodation)
  • Help prepare training material (using PowerPoint and Word)
  • Preparing agendas and taking, transcribing & circulating meeting minutes
  • Event planning & management

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for working with a National not-for-profit
  • Experience in using the Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Basic website management skills
  • Ability to travel regionally and interstate (including a driver’s licence)
  • Ability to learn basic bookkeeping (Xero)
  • Attention to detail (especially in booking travel arrangements)

Additional InfORMATION

  • Predominantly working remotely (ability to work in the Tuggerah/Wyong area occasionally)
  • Interstate and regional travel may be required
  • Reporting to CEO/Finance Officer
