ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

ADI operates as a private, non-governmental charity, committed to fortifying remote and rural health systems in collaboration with local PNG health workers.

ADI plays a pivotal role in supporting local health authorities to address critical gaps in service delivery, working diligently to foster healthier communities across the nation of Papua New Guinea.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Grant Writer will craft high quality, accurate, and persuasive proposals and reports and ensure all application, renewal, and reporting requirements are met, including compliance with all funder regulations, policies, and procedures.

The Senior Grant Writer will contribute to the growth and retention of funding by collaborating with the program staff to identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and renew donations from Trusts, Foundations, and international funding organisations. They will be accountable for keeping many projects moving at once and managing numerous priorities and emerging opportunities while meeting firm deadlines, while developing relationships with funding providers. This position will require excellent writing ability, capacity to receive and integrate feedback, strategic thinking, and deep commitment to ADI’s mission, values and goals.

This new position is permanent part time, 3 days per week.

ABOUT YOU

You will be experienced in writing high level institutional grants seeking funding for international development projects. Your superior time management skills will enable you to manage multiple grants within our grant portfolio. You will have broad knowledge of the not-for-profit sector and the multiple funding streams available. Your professional presentation will enable you to liaise with all levels of management in funding organisations.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in grant writing at institutional level, e.g. Australian Government, New Zealand Government, and Trusts and Foundations both within Australia and internationally.
  • Evidence of successful grant applications and management of grant registers.
  • Ability to liaise professionally with funding organisations and develop robust relationships leading to positive funding outcomes.
  • Prior experience working within or on behalf of non-profit organisations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
