ADSSI Limited operates from four sites – at Tuggerah on the Central Coast and Maitland, Beresfield, and Dungog in the Hunter. We are a $30M not for profit organisation that provides practical in-home support that promotes choice, lifestyle and independence.
Our primary purpose is to make a difference in the lives of people in our community, particularly the frail aged, people living with disabilities and dementia, their carers, and others who may be disadvantaged.
The retirement of two Directors and the increasing focus on clinical expertise necessitates the recruitment of several experienced Non-Executive Directors – from both the Hunter and the Central Coast. The option of payment for time/expenses incurred in preparing for and attending Board meetings is available.
The role will require you to work with the Board and relevant Subcommittees, manage clinical, financial and business risk, and contribute to meeting the strategic, regulatory and governance challenges ADSSI Limited faces. The Board meets in the evening on the last Tuesday of each month either face to face, generally from Tuggerah, via Zoom, or using a hybrid model from any ADSSI site location.
We have several Non-Executive Director opportunities, across a range of disciplines, with our selection criteria focused on the following experience and qualities:
We seek active, collaborative listeners who can work together in a high-performance board environment – if this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply via the "Apply Now" button. Include a resume setting out your qualifications and employment history and a statement explaining how you meet the selection criteria and why you are interested in joining the Board.
Successful applicants will undergo a qualifications check, an NDIS Worker Check, and an insolvency check. Each applicant will be considered on their merits.
ADSSI Limited supports EEO principles and is a smoke-free environment. ADSSI Limited is committed to increasing the governance and workforce participation of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. ADSSI Limited is a member of ACON’s Pride in Health + Wellbeing program that provides support in the provision of LGBTI inclusive services for the health and wellbeing sector.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and future, and recognise their continuing connection and contribution to this land. ADSSI Limited embraces Aboriginal values: Community, helping and respectful care of our elders.
