Action on Poverty (AOP) is a secular, not-for-profit, non-government organisation (NGO), founded in Australia in 1968 and incorporated in the state of NSW in 1983. AOP supports Programs in Africa, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia and South Asia. AOP believes that community-led development, and strengthening local civil society organisations and community groups, is the most effective and sustainable way for people to meet their own development aspirations. In Kiribati, AOP is working with its partner, the Foundation for the Peoples of the South Pacific (FSPK), on a range of projects on water, sanitation, nutrition and clean energy.
The Volunteer Web Developer will design and develop a website for AOP’s partner, FSPK. FSPK needs ways to communicate to the public about the issues they address and results of their community development projects to drive changes in communities and growth of their organisation. The Web Developer will also support training of FSPK staff on maintaining the website.
