The Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) auspices Every Australian Counts (EAC) Campaign.

EAC is a long-running, successful, grass-roots campaign that was instrumental in the advocating for the NDIS. Today, it continues to effectively advocate on behalf of people with disability, to ensure the NDIS is operating in their interests. EAC strategy is managed by a Steering Committee, headed up by an independent Chair.

EAC is looking to engage a consultant with campaigning, engagement, communications, and operations expertise to:

• Work closely with the independent Chair and AFDO’s CEO.

This assignment is for a minimum of 15 to a maximum of 22 hours spread flexibly across the work week, commencing as agreed and running for an initial six months with a further six-month option available by mutual agreement, based on results and outcomes.

EAC is looking for an experienced professional with:

• Campaigning experience and skills.
• Strong knowledge of the disability sector and the NDIS.
• Professional communication & engagement skills.
• Skilled in media, social media, website, etc.
• Self-starter with excellent organisation skills.
• Own digital equipment and office facilities.
• Desirable to have lived experience of disability.
