• Pay: $42.00 p/h pro rata + 11.5% superannuation
• Reports to: AJP WA State Deputy Convenor

About the Role: Administration and Social Media Assistant

This dynamic role involves a blend of administrative and creative tasks, perfect for someone who thrives on challenges, demonstrates initiative, and enjoys working independently. You'll support the WA State Election working groups by driving social media campaigns, organising fundraising, creating candidate videos, managing merchandise design, and much more—all in line with the WA State Election Strategic Plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration: Manage bookings, merchandise stock, and provide administrative support to the WA State Committee.
• Graphics and Social Media: Create eye-catching graphics, post on social platforms, moderate comments, and develop targeted social media campaigns.
• Website Management: Update and manage website content.
• Election Support: Assist working groups involved in candidate support, community engagement, fundraising, marketing, and volunteer coordination.
• Volunteer Engagement: Encourage and engage volunteers to participate in various activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate communication and meetings to promote the AJP election platform.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

• Dedication to ending animal cruelty and a strong understanding of the AJP's values and policies.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly NationBuilder, and strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Advanced skills in Canva and experience in creating engaging social media content.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to support and guide members.

Desirable:

• Experience working with volunteers and organising fundraising events.
