The Animal Justice Party was formed in response to a growing number of voters who feel strongly that much more needs to be done through the Australian parliamentary system to assist in the wellbeing of animals. With thousands of members across Australia, elected MPs in the New South Wales and Victorian Parliaments and Local Government Councillors in Victoria, NSW and WA, the Animal Justice Party is part of a rapidly growing international movement. Our vision is a planet on which animals are treated with respect, dignity and kindness, where they are able to flourish in their respective environments, and where their unique needs and capabilities are recognised and their interests protected.

We’re seeking an experienced and highly organised administrative professional to join the Animal Justice Party on a part-time, working-from-home basis.
As the National Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Administrative Manager and the Board of Directors to ensure the smooth functioning of operations at a national level. Your contribution will include managing day-to-day office tasks and performing a range of other administrative functions including record-keeping, some basic financial administration, scheduling meetings, and maintaining databases/registers/policies.
As this is a new role and key tasks and responsibilities may evolve over time, this position requires a level of adaptability.

Bringing enthusiasm and energy to the role, you demonstrate a positive attitude and proactive approach. You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, always displaying professionalism and integrity.
You’re a lover of all things ‘admin’. With high-level organisation skills and meticulous attention to detail, you excel in providing consistent administrative support. You’re comfortable being a ‘go-to’ person, and are always working to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks. Flexible in the face of evolving priorities, you’re a pro at effectively juggling tasks with competing priorities.
This is a perfect role for someone looking to take their involvement with the animal protection movement in a new direction, and who is willing to go the extra mile for the causes they care about.
To underpin your role within the Animal Justice Party you will be committed to the Animal Justice Party’s values:
Kindness | Equality | Rationality | Non-Violence
Applicants with experience and/or skills in one or more of these areas will have an advantage:
A Selection Panel will interview selected applicants and make a recommendation for appointment of the successful applicant to the Board of Directors.
