We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lawyer to lead our family safety program and join our team at Great Southern Community Legal Services (GSCLS).

The Role

As a Lawyer in our family safety program, you will work collaboratively with GSCLS staff and key external partners to deliver client-centered, trauma-informed services. Your primary focus will be on improving safety outcomes for victims of family violence and enhancing their access to justice. This role involves providing legal assistance, participating in duty lawyer programs, engaging in community outreach, and contributing to law reform and systemic advocacy efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive legal advice and casework to clients through the Great Southern region.
• Participate in our duty lawyer programs at the Albany Courthouse.
• Craft and present community education initiatives on prevalent legal issues.
• Engage in law reform and systemic advocacy to address local community concerns.
• Collaborate with cross-sector partners to offer client-focused, trauma-informed services.
