The Department

Digital Health is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.

The division encompasses all aspects of:

  • Information technology procurement, delivery, security and support.
  • Electronic Medical Record design, development and support, including the electronic Timely Quality Care Program
  • General applications support
  • Data Governance and Security

The Role

We are in search of a dynamic Project Manager who brings a wealth of experience in overseeing large-scale projects within the health sector, specifically focusing on Cybersecurity related initiatives. The incumbent should be an adept communicator, capable of navigating multiple stakeholder landscapes across a variety of health-related disciplines. A significant part of this role involves meticulous end-to-end planning and coordination of projects that encompass internal teams and external parties, including vendors. The successful candidate will be the linchpin ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of business outcomes, tackling roadblocks, and fostering collaboration within the team to adhere to project scope, budget, and quality standards.

Qualification & Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing Cyber Security and ICT projects.
  • Relevant qualification in ICT and Project Management or appropriate health qualification.
  • Experience in project management in complex environments is essential.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certifications are highly desirable. CISSP, CISM or equivalent are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in managing multiple stakeholders and teams (including external parties) across concurrent streams of development work.
  • General aptitude for problem solving and using technology and tools to translate requirements into solutions, and improve processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills in managing multiple stakeholders and teams across concurrent streams of development work.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal along with demonstrated learning agility
  • Proven track record in successfully navigating complex ICT environments.
  • Solid knowledge of security principles and practices
  • Experience in health services operations or project management is highly desirable.
