Current operations include four residential care facilities, five multi service respite centres, a resource centre, CDC home care program, a registered training organisation with many other programs throughout Queensland and New South Wales, making AQ a well-established leader in the aged care sector.

We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable / Receivable Officer to be responsible for all aspects of accounts payable, receivable functions including reconciliations. You will be part of a growing finance team who provides all finance support to the Association, its customers, and suppliers.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • High volume data entry of all accounts payable invoices, paying particular attention to authorisations and cost codings.
  • Statement reconciliation
  • Production of AP payment runs
  • AR Billing & Invoicing
  • Follow up outstanding AR accounts
  • Backup to reception
  • Answering telephone enquiries
  • Monthly Journals & Balance sheets
  • Update clients spreadsheets for Home Care Program
  • Lodge monthly claims to Medicare

Skills and knowledge required

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a high volume transaction role in an Accounts Payable / Receivable role
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge of Accounts Payable / Receivable Systems (Attache) desirable
  • Ability to work across multiple databases/systems with ease
  • Exceptional attention to detail & time management
  • Ability to work autonomously & as part of team that strives to meet deadlines in a warm team environment

You will be required to complete a national police check clearance. The successful applicant may also be required to undergo skills testing in Excel.
