The Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) is the voice for Australia’s oceans. We are Australia’s leading ocean conservation organisation and one of the founding members of Australia’s conservation movement. We are a community of ocean lovers across the nation working to protect our precious marine wildlife and for healthy seas.
We are an independent charity, staffed by a committed group of scientists, educators and passionate advocates who have defended Australia’s oceans since 1965. Our paid and volunteer staff work every day to protect our coasts and oceans.
The Philanthropy Officer plays an important role in engaging and supporting AMCS’ highly valued donors to fund our critical work, which involves taking action on the big issues facing our oceans.
In this role, you will coordinate and provide administrative support to our philanthropic fundraising programs, including those for mid- and major donors, business supporters, grants, and bequests.
Your work supports the recruitment and engagement of AMCS donors by ensuring the administration of records, processing of donations, and communication with supporters is delivered efficiently, effectively and in a way that inspires ongoing financial support for our vital marine conservation work.
