This is an exciting opportunity to join our Fundraising team coordinating the ongoing loyalty of our regular donors, to ensure that Amnesty International Australia (AIA) is successful in reaching our fundraising strategic objectives. You will have the know-how, passion and commitment to continually inspire supporters in showing regular financial support to Amnesty International Australia.

Working closely with Individual Giving Lead - Acquisition and Loyalty and staff across AIA, you will be responsible for developing strategies which retain and extend relationships with donors. Focusing on our regular givers (Human Rights Defenders), you will develop and implement leading loyalty and retention strategies through a range of channels including telemarketing, direct mail, digital and other emerging channels.

Your creativity, strategic and analytical mindset and “can-do” attitude will see you make a valuable contribution to our broader Fundraising area, as well as ensuring that our Fundraising team continues to grow and contribute to our reputation as a leader in the industry.

The starting salary for this position is $99,101 per annum plus 10.5% super and not-for-profit salary packaging.

This role is responsible for:

  • Working with the Individual Giving Lead - Acquisition and Loyalty to develop annual and multi year retention strategies
  • In collaboration with the team develop, manage and improve the supporter experience, loyalty and retention programs for regular giving supporters and monitor budgets and expenditure to meet or exceed strategic fundraising objectives and targets
  • Supporting development of the annual retention budget for regular giving supporters and conduct monthly financial forecasting
  • Develop, test, implement and iterate retention journeys for newly acquired and existing regular giving donors including writing copy and designing artwork
  • Manage the design, production and distribution of retention materials for regular giving supporters
  • Manage Telemarketing retention campaigns, contract negotiations and supplier relationships
  • Conduct regular retention and attrition analysis, and maintain attrition modelling
  • Work with Supporter Care team to improve retention, review processes and scripts, and conduct/organise training sessions to support their work
  • Work with Fundraising Team members to develop cross audience journeys in order to maximise regular giver retention and engagement
  • Manage retention campaigns and implement opportunities for process and campaign automation
  • Monitor project work-in-progress, timelines and milestones to ensure key deadlines and targets are achieved and materials are in line with Amnesty International Australia’s (AI Australia’s) vision

You will have:

  • Experienced in managing large income targets, with proven ability to work to, monitor and report against specific project targets
  • Experienced in budget management
  • Experienced in writing copy for retention communications and in artwork design
  • Experience in developing and managing loyalty and retention programs and in mapping supporter journeys
  • Demonstrated planning and project management skills
  • Analytical skills, including ability to utilise CRM tools and systems
  • Ability to identify opportunities and offer creative and innovative solutions to problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and relevant high level oral and written communication skills

  • Please provide example(s) of your experience in managing large income targets and developing retention budgets
  • Please provide an example of your ability to track and monitor results and analyse the performance of programs and/or specific campaigns.
