Anglesea Surf Life Saving Club

The Club currently has a vacancy for a Business Officer, and we are seeking an experienced individual to fill this important multifaceted position. While this role is primarily responsible for the Club’s day-to-day finance and bookkeeping, it is an integral part of a small cohesive team, and you will be required to provide support to other team members.

The role reports to the General Manager and is an attractive opportunity for a team player who possesses a motivated approach to work and is passionate about delivering outstanding business outcomes.

Essential Criteria includes

Technical:

  • Proficient financial and bookkeeping knowledge and experience
  • Administration and/or client service experience
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel (experience using Xero Financial Software is desirable)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Track record of innovative thinking and problem solving
  • Personable and with the confidence to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

Organisational and planning:

  • Strong organisational skills, high level attention to detail and time management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Awareness of the lifesaving/sporting club environment

People and team:

  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Strong desire to provide member service

Personal:

  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy with all tasks
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously and take initiative

The role is a permanent part-time position.
