As the Practice Consultant, Family and Domestic Violene you will support and lead practice excellence across the organisation in the area of FDV. You will provide support to Anglicare WA’s services through internal practice development, establishing service standards as well as developing outcomes. You will work as part of a small team of other subject matter experts and bring your contemporary specialist expertise and skills to services to enable a focus on service improvement and innovation. You will also represent Anglicare WA within the community services sector on a range of local and national forums.

This is a permanent, part time (30 hours per week) opportunity working 4 days per week, with a preference to work Fridays. The role is based in East Perth, WA.

What you will bring!

You are a passionate and talented individual who wants to be part of a team who delivers quality services to our clients. To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or other relevant tertiary qualification
  • Expert level knowledge of victim safety issues in Family and Domestic Violence.
  • Expert level knowledge of perpetrator issues in Family and Domestic Violence.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of practice approaches including Duluth Abuse Intervention Program, Invitational Model of Perpetrator Intervention (Alan Jenkins), Safe & Together Model (David Mandel), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Emotional Regulation.
  • Knowledge of emerging practice approaches in Family & Domestic Violence including approaches to integrating Family & Domestic Violence risk and safety assessments within general programs.
  • Extensive understanding of the effects and impacts of family and domestic violence on children, women, families and the broader community.
  • Knowledge of culturally appropriate service delivery for Family Domestic Violence support services with Aboriginal communities.
  • Extensive understanding and skill in dealing with grooming and collusion in working with perpetrators of domestic violence.
  • Highly developed influential leadership approach
  • Excellent skills in written and oral communication
  • Highly developed supervision skills within a reflective practice framework
  • High level skills in dealing with vulnerable and complex clients in a person-centred way
  • Skills in program management reporting

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year and a current WA Driver’s Licence.

  • Salary from $130,000 + 11.5% superannuation
  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
