The Program:

We are expanding our Navigator program! The Navigator Program is an intensive, targeted, education support service where Case Managers work in collaboration with schools, young people, families, and external stakeholders to find ways to achieve educational goals.

In 2023-24, 847 young people were supported to re-engage with their education through the Navigator program.

About the role:

Navigator operates a school re-engagement program supporting young people 12-17yrs to explore education pathways and return to education.

Utilising your experience working with schools, this Senior Case Management (Brief Interventions) position will support young people who have disengaged from education and their parents.

Make your mark:

  • Extensive experience in case management and brief interventions therapeutic support for vulnerable children, young people and families.
  • Bring your area of expertise to a diverse team be that mental health, disability, education, or family services.
  • Assist disengaged learners to re-connect back into education and learning.
  • Successfully build rapport with children and young people, who present with a range of complex challenges such as mental health, disability, neurodiversity, trauma.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation and liaison skills.
  • Ability to work with government and non-government organisations, community groups and clients’ families/networks.
  • Knowledge of school environments and educational policy.

Make it work:

  • Inspiring leadership supporting individual agency and autonomy.
  • A salary at SCHADS level 6 which equates to around $106,637 plus super at full time.
  • Flexible through the increments up to 6.3.
  • Positions to commence December 2024/January 2025 by negotiation.
  • Ongoing position.
  • Part time, 2.5 days per week, 19 hours, please pro rata the above salary.
  • Site based at our office in Sunshine with outreach across the region.
