Your role

The Home Stretch is an Australia-wide campaign advocating for young people in state care to have the option of staying in out-of-home care until they are 21 years old.

Supporting The Home Stretch campaign has been a key part of Anglicare Victoria’s advocacy role over the past five years. With the support of the Anglicare Victoria Board, our Chief Executive Officer has chaired the national campaign which has been funded by generous philanthropic grants.

Advocacy and campaigning continue to be a key part of our work and this role embodies that work.

Key objectives

  • Lead the Home Stretch campaign Undertake advocacy, research and policy to advance the Home Stretch reforms.
  • Develop letters, presentations, and communications to key decision makers.
  • Organise the 4th Home Stretch national symposium.

Make your mark

  • Tertiary qualifications in Policy, Research or Politics would support you in your role but the qualification requirements are flexible.
  • Work autonomously and make the key decisions around the role.
  • Show ambition for impact.
  • Bring skills using Canva, MailChimp and Monday.com
  • Use your social media and marketing skills to enhance your message and create interest.
  • Solid understanding of policy, research and project management methodology would set you up for success.

Make it work

  • Total remuneration package of $110,000 - $115,000
  • Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card so you keep more of what you earn.
  • Contract to 30th January 2026 covering parental leave.
  • Hybrid working, flexible home and office days. The office located at Collingwood, close to public transport.
