Case Manager - Home Based Care

Your role:

Anglicare Victoria provides foster care for children and young people who are temporarily unable to live at home. 

Anglicare Victoria is the state's largest provider of foster care and plays a vital role in protecting children and young people by ensuring they have a safe and nurturing home while their family cannot care for them.

Our foster care program provides a stable home environment for children and young people aged between 0 - 18 years. In this role you will coordinate placements for children and young people that will support their development and meet their needs in a safe and secure environment. 

About you:

  • Experience in child, youth and family welfare, with particular experience in Out of Home Care is highly desired.
  • Sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy and practice environment of Out of Home Care or a passion for learning.
  • Skills and experience in supervision of carers is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management.
  • Well developed organisational skills.
  • An understanding of, and capacity to act accordingly to the principles and intent of  the Children, Youth & Families Act 2005. 

Qualifications:

A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, and/or a related degree in behavioural sciences, with substantial experience in the relevant service stream. 

What you need to know:

  • A salary at SCHCADS level 5 which equates to around $94,000 plus super
  • Flexible through the increments up to to 5.3 (dependent upon experience)
  • Based at our office in Broadmeadows
